We ALL have to report to somebody until we OWN our own thing.LISA VAZQUEZhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13583559303233985031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075448.post-61839348172961667802008-11-24T10:48:00.000-06:002008-11-24T10:48:00.000-06:00Awww brother, you KNOW they won't do a story on th...Awww brother, you KNOW they won't do a story on the positive things that go on in the city b/c they want to portray New Orleans as a cesspool of corruption and negativity. Anything positive wouldn't be news-worthy.BLESSD1https://www.blogger.com/profile/01375754465584219700noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075448.post-57015699182826434612008-11-24T08:26:00.000-06:002008-11-24T08:26:00.000-06:00last time i saw her it was during iowa cacuseslast time i saw her it was during iowa cacusesAll-Mi-T [Thought Crime] Rawdawgbuffalohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08843040863123899426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075448.post-39267693430352519732008-11-24T07:48:00.000-06:002008-11-24T07:48:00.000-06:00I caught the last half by accident. The reality is harsh, but even so, I still think she let most of the people she interviewed off the hook, just accepting what they said. Weak reporting imho.Mitraillettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05315904916874521634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075448.post-14532086344047205172008-11-23T09:50:00.000-06:002008-11-23T09:50:00.000-06:00Peace,I agree with Mark. 'Just doing her job' doesn't excuse her from her responsibility as a credible journalist. Covering just one part of the story is inexcusable.Another Conflict Theoristhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03611335993936210835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8075448.post-62177121153211754962008-11-23T07:40:00.000-06:002008-11-23T07:40:00.000-06:00A very depressing watch. To talk about corruption and focus on who gets a car (versus, say, the crime cameras) was just dumb.

Giving Nagin and Reilly a pass was worse that dumb, it was to miss the fundamental story. It was J-school level researching and writing, and I give her a C at best over all. An intern using Google could have done a better job of getting the core of the story right.

I could bear seeing that harsh reality on national TV on a Saturday night (it repeats Sunday) if the real bad actors post-K were now afraid to show their faces outside the city for shame, but they wont be.

She really flubbed it.Mark Folsehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16813261450396857232noreply@blogger.com
